Evaluation Process

Clinical Interview

We discuss your concerns and what you hope to gain from an evaluation.

Testing Sessions

Test measures are administered over the course of 1-2 three-hour sessions.

Feedback

Discuss important findings from your evaluation & receive your report, referral list, and instructions on how to use your results.

Five Year Follow Up

We meet with you and your treatment team to determine if you need an updated evaluation, redirected steps for action, new referrals, and any other resources

You walk away from our evaluations with actionable steps to:

Connect with mental health services like therapy/counseling and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Consult with a medical professional about medication prescriptions
Determine if you or your child may qualify for academic accommodations
Seek out additional resources like speech and occupational therapy, parent support, and tutoring.

Most importantly, you receive supplemental documents like a support letter and a list of referral sources to make it easier for you to get started once your evaluation is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

What should I expect from my first appointment?

A.

During the initial appointment, we discuss the concerns that brought you in for testing along with relevant background information to determine your testing needs.  This appointment typically lasts about 60 minutes.

What types of evaluations are offered?

A.

We offer comprehensive evaluations for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Disabilities for children and adolescents (ages 3-17) and adults (ages 18+).

What is the evaluation process like?

A.

We meet for an initial appointment where we discuss your concerns and relevant background information.  Once your test battery is determined, we complete all measures in 1-2 three hour testing sessions.  You will also be asked to complete rating scales about behaviors observed at home and school. Finally, you meet for your feedback session to discuss the results of the evaluation and receive a final copy of your report.  The entire evaluation process is completed in about 30 days.

How much does each evaluation cost?

A.

For 3 year olds - $1500
For 4 year olds - $2000
For 5 year olds - $2500
For ages 6-17 & adults - $3000
For combo evaluations (i.e., ADHD & Autism; ADHD & Learning Disability; Autism & Learning Disability) - $3500

What if I cannot keep my scheduled appointment?

A.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much advance notice as possible.  Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance or you will be assessed a $250 fee.

Do you accept insurance?

A.

We are considered “Out of Network” providers because we do not accept insurance or participate on any insurance panels.  Thus, payment is due at the time of service via invoice with the following methods: Major Debit/Credit Cards; HSA Cards; Personal Check

We also offer an invoice and/or superbill, which can be used to file claims to your insurance company for reimbursement.  While we cannot guarantee reimbursement will occur, you can contact your insurance in advance and ask the following questions to help make an informed decision about testing:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • Does my plan cover psychological testing?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How much do you pay for an out-of-network provider?
  • Is there a limitation on how much you will pay per session/code?
  • Is there a pre-authorization process required?

Do you offer payment plans?

A.

The evaluation fee consists of $1500 due at the time you schedule your initial appointment. Any remaining balance is due 24 hours before the feedback (final) session.

Q.

How can I use my test results?

A.

Evaluation results can be used for a variety of purposes including but not limited to diagnostic and treatment clarification, requests for special services from your child’s school including Individualized Education Plans and 504 Plans, college and work accommodations, and medication management.

Q.

Do you provide evaluations outside of Georgia?

A.

Yes! Our licensed psychologists are now PsyPact authorized to provide telepsychology services in all participating states except California, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, Guam, Puerto Rico, & US Virgin Islands.
